History of the Worcestershire Regiment. The Regiment was formed in 1694 under Colonel Thomas Farrington (Farringtons Regiment). It later became Known as the 29th Regiment of Foot. In 1881 the 29th and 36th of Foot Regiments were amalgamated and remaned the Worcestershire Regiment.
